Wednesday nights I usually go to a brewpub I used to work at to unwind after work and talk with regulars I got to know when I did work there. We like to bring in bottles of beers to taste. Tonight we only had two: a hefe-weiss/grapefruit beer and a home-brewed double IPA. I donâ€™t really care for IPAs but this one was less hoppy and maltier than I expected, which I do like (malt that is).
I also had the bartender mix a hint of Lindemans Cassis with some Tripel Karmeliet. Surprisingly refreshing. The 8.4% of the Karmeliet, typically noticeable, is hidden by the Cassis. Try it.
