Every year at the end of June the town of Cedarburg puts on Strawberry Fest. The tradition for the past five or six years among my friends has been to gather at one end of town, walk through the festival (stopping to sample some delicious food, of course), and end up at the Cedar Creek Winery on the other end.
At that point we purchase a few bottles of Strawberry Blush and head to a park across the river from the winery and enjoy an afternoon of friends and wine.
I like the idea of having personal and joyful traditions among friends. It would be nice if we did this every year, no matter where life takes us.
