I didn’t really have a positive attitude towards science in high school. I was more into English and the arts. I thought all the cool historical figures were fiction writers and painters and filmmakers.
Then my physics teacher showed us a documentary about Richard Feynman, The Pleasure of Finding Things Out. While it seems obvious now, I realized how important and cool science was. How it added to life on the practical and the philosophical level. There’s this one part that really stuck with me. Feynman talks about how a flower’s beauty is only magnified by knowing how it works.
